A Daughter's Monologue
In A Daughter's Monologue, I seek to capture the experiences that women have regarding their self-images and social expectations on multiple levels. On one level, this is a project about the conflicting duality in a mother-daughter relationship. On another level, it explores the connection between appearance and identity. The series consists of self-portraits of me dressed as my mother intermixed with my mother’s space at her apartment.
